#129 - Williamsburg, #130 - Cummington, #131 - Ashfield

#129 - Williamsburg.  Maybe you were like me and didn't realize there was a Williamsburg in the Massachusetts Commonwealth.

The Williamsburg General Store is a cute stop on Route 9 in the Pioneer Valley

#130 - Cummington.   We continued west and next stopped in Cummington.  The William Cullen Bryant Homestead made for an interesting spot.  The poet and editor of the New York Evening Post continued to spend his summers in his boyhood home.  The estate includes numerous hiking trails, including a stand of the tallest white pines in the Northeast.  It's a Trustees of Reservations property.

The William Cullen Bryant Homestead is open for seasonal tours.

The hiking trails included numerous natural marble stands on the path.

#130 Ashfield - We continued north to the Chapel Brook Trustees Reservation in Ashfield (another Trustees Property).  We summited the 1420 foot Pony Mountain on a trail that was less than half a mile from the parking lot.

There were a bunch of mountain climbers we passed on the way up the hill.
