#161 Oxford, Massachusetts

We had a guest walker for our walk to Oxford, MA (Scott's Mom). Oxford was the birthplace to Clara Barton, who is the founder of the American Red Cross. Her home is now a birthplace museum.

The land surrounding the homestead is owned by the Barton Center for Diabetes, and is home to a summer camp for children with diabetes. We enjoyed walking the grounds of the camp (it was not open to in-person campers this year due to COVID. Luckily it is set to be open in 2022. Check out this picture of the grounds:
