#168 - #170 Hull, Cohasset and Scituate

#168 - Hull is the state's 4th smallest town by land mass, yet in the top 30 in population density. We drove the entirety of Hull, all the way out the Pemberton Point. We walked the Pemberton neighborhood, near Hull HS (the Pirates) and saw an idyllic view of fishing and pleasure boats in a small harbor. The Hull ferry and a Coast Guard station are located in this same harbor.
#169 - We drove through beautiful (and very wealthy) Cohasset which sits on the south shore, along the ocean. Ended up at Cohasset Common, a classic example of a New England Town Common. The First Parish Meetinghouse is the anchor structure. Most interesting, though, were the various tree specimens (9 varieties noted), clearly labeled, that lined the common. Had fun exploring this “arboretum."
#170 - Lobster boats at anchor in Scituate Harbor. From the mid 1600s through 1800s, Scituate was one of the most prosperous harbors in New England. This area served trade and travel, with a lumber yard, ship yard, and tide mill all operating. If you could transport back in time you would see schooners, brigantines, and whaling ships lining the wharf, ready to travel the world.
