Weymouth and Rockland (#208-209)

We walked in Weymouth and Rockland for towns #208 and 209. Note - we put the wrong town number on Weymouth (207 again... when that was Ayer) and we didn't figure it out until town #216 or so... bear with us on the pictures. Weymouth - We ventured to the far NE corner of Weymouth, to Webb Memorial State Park, where we took in panoramic views of Boston Harbor, the Harbor Islands, and the city. Gorgeous spot. Weymouth, a south shore community, is the second oldest settlement in the Commonwealth, the hometown of Abigail Adams, and boasts the 10th highest Irish ☘️ population (33%) in the US. The inscription on the pictured stone says “John Cole Memorial Lookout - Love One Another”
After Weymouth we visited neighboring Rockland and Marylou's. On this Nor’easter day in New England, when a hot cup of ☕️ is the right call, it seems appropriate that we post Rockland where we saw our first Marylou’s Coffee storefront. Its famous (at least in New England) pink motif was worth a photo because there wasn’t much else to see in Rockland.
