Northampton and Wales (237-238)

We spent an afternoon in Northampton, the Hampshire County seat. Located in the Connecticut River Valley, Northampton is a countercultural, academic, music, and arts hub. It is one of the most politically liberal/progressive cities in the US and supports a robust LBGTQ community. The all-female Smith College is found here. Famous alumni include Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, Julia Child, Margaret Mitchell, and Gloria Steinem.

Nice weather for an exploration of the Tupper Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, in Wales. This was a nice section of boardwalk through low wetland. The Skunk Cabbage was in full display.
