Peppered and Ashby (#248 and #249)
We wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t walk over all the covered bridges we find! For town #249 - Pepperell they have recently rebuilt their historic bridge. Mrs. Prudence Wright (an early feminist) led a bunch of women in capturing a Tory spy while crossing in April 1775.
We visited Ashby (#248), a small town north of Worcester on the NH state line. While walking through Willard Brook State Forest, we ran across this Yurt, which you can rent, if desired.
