Tyngsborough and Dunstable (#250 and 251)

Tyngsborough (#251) - One of our more interesting walk finds! Located in the far SW corner of the sleepy bedroom community of Tyngsborough is something right out of science fiction…the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Facility. Sitting on 1,300 acres, the facility was constructed in the height of the Cold War as an early warning ballistic missile tracking center. Today the radar and antennae arrays are used for deep space satellite tracking and radio/engineering research (or so they claim). Really cool gem that is open to the public for walking only. You get a creepy feeling that you are being watched the entire time you are there 👽.
Almost to the final countdown. Skirted the MA/NH state line in Dunstable (#250). Quick hike through Arched Bridge Conservation Area.
