Towns 21 - 25: Princeton, Hudson, Maynard, Lexington, Northbridge

Lexington - We took a 6.1 mile hike through town, starting at the historic town green, site of the first battle of the Revolution, symbolized by this Minuteman statue. Lexington has a great system of public hiking trails and a terrific bike trail.
Redemption Rock is located in Princeton. During King Philip's War, the release of Mary Rowlandson (the wife of a Puritan minister) from her Native American captors was negotiated atop this granite ledge. The Mid-State Trail passes right by, so a great place to take a hike.
In Hudson we took a walk along the Assabet River Rail Trail, had dinner from ‘Rail Trail’ and ice cream from New City Micocreamery. Hudson is hoppin’.
Northbridge was the birthplace of the mother of President Millard Fillmore (13th US President).
Maynard has the Assabet Woolen Mill Clock Tower is the oldest, still-working, hand-wound clock in the country. The weights that power the clocks 4 faces are still wound once per week.
