Towns 26 - 30 Mashpee, Leyden, Colrain, Bernardston, Marlborough

Colrain - The Arthur A. Smith Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge crossing the North River in Colrain. Built in 1869, it is the only Burr truss bridge in Massachusetts. You still get to drive over it!
Mashpee - Sunset on Popponesset Beach. Mashpee is home and headquarters to the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe who were the indigenous people of Cape Cod.
Leyden - Population 692, Leyden has the smallest library I’ve ever seen (pictured). Erected in 1913. Also home to Brother of the Spirit Commune 🙏🏻 Gorgeous part of the state bordering Vermont.
Marlborough became a town in 1660 and a city in 1890. Was a big shoe manufacturing center and transportation (rail & trolley) in the late 19th century. Was wondering why the local microbrew was named Lost Shoe Brewing. Now I know
Bernardston -Our final walk near the Vermont border on a beautiful Sunday.
