301 - Bourne

Bourne - For town 301 we were able to take a VERY windy 🌬️ walk along the Cape Cod Canal, from Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge to the Bourne Bridge (shown in picture). The Canal was fully opened in 1916. It connects Cape Cod Bay (north) with Buzzards Bay (south). If you decide to walk or bike on this route, we have been told the wind is customary and related to the tides and water movement in the canal.
