310 - 312 Sheffield (Do you believe in UFO's), Sunderland and Alford

I must say, this was a strangely creepy visit to Sheffield (#310). After watching the “Berkshires UFO” episode (Season 1/Episode 5 - Netflix) of Unsolved Mysteries, we visited the Sheffield Covered Bridge which is the centerpiece of UFO Monument Park. It is at this location that Thom Reed and his family encountered something that was unexplainable hovering above the bridge. This Labor Day incident “was factually upheld, founded, and deemed historically significant and true.” I’ve provided a link to the Wikipedia entry. Do you believe 👽?

For our 312th town we visited our daugher and her service dog-in-training Royal at UMass and walked a beautiful trail in Sunderland (#312) Hiking with dogs is the best!

On the MA/NY border is the tiny town of Alford (pop 486). Stopped at Elizabeth’s Woods and did a 1.0 mile loop. Documented some striking native wildflowers including (from top left): Slender Scratchdaisy, Fleabane, Indian Pipe, White Baneberry, Mushroom.
